“Feelings and thoughts can be very deceiving because the devil can make it sound so logical. He even uses the scriptures out of context to trick you. He did it to Jesus.
He said to Jesus “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to be made bread” The devil was trying to get Jesus to doubt that He is the Son of God. But Jesus respond with the Word of God and said “ It is written that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God
You ought to always believe what God says over what your thoughts says or what your feelings says against the word of God. If you are thinking guilt and condemnation, you are not right with God, you are not justified with God, all these thoughts are from the devil. The devil may tell you that “God is not going to meet your needs, He did it the last time but not this time, because you did such and such and such!
This is where you respond “Well it is written that God shall supply all my needs according to His richest in glory in Christ Jesus. It is written that through Jesus Christ I am justified from all things. It is written that therefore there is no condemnation to me who is in Christ Jesus, because I am in Christ Jesus.” This is what your thoughts should be.
Anytime your thoughts or feelings go against God’s Word, you must believe God’s Word over your thoughts or feelings, this is how you apply the word of God in your life.
